car is cutting out at 5k
OK at the end of last season I did an autoX and some issues rose that were previously not there.
quick rundown of my setup:
eagle/vitara y7 block, fully built z6 head, forward facing manifold, hx35, Rc 750cc injectors, hondata 4bar map, edlebrock intake and skank2 70mm tb. I tuned the car on eCtune.
symptoms:
car curs out at 5k rpms
last season I finished off with a autoX. car drove fine to the place. as I raced my car stopped serving over 5k. I swapped plugs which did nothing. ended up towing the car home as the alternator took a dump. doesn't matter if I'm at 5psi or 25psi....its at 5k
the kicker.... if I roll into the power at 75-85% throttle it will surpass the 5k issue stomp it to the floor and ride out the rpms. so it is specifically a wot issue.
what has been done to correct it.
-obviously I got a new alternator and battery was weak I replaced that
-junkyard distributor(tested on a buddys car good)
-new (to me) wire harness - bought from a close friend who pulled it from a running car he parted out
-cleaned throttle body
-map sensor within specs as is tps
-afrs, oil pressure and vitals all look good
-spark plugs
- spark plug wire set
-ran new battery cables and tested voltage is all good
I'm at a loss here. I'm sure there is more I've missed....anyone else have these problems that know a solution

walbro 255 I can here it. stock regulator I have 3-4 I have swapped em out and no change. the problem only arises at wide open throttle. I can rev threw out the rpm band to 8500rpm at 75% throttle...or just wait till 5500 and go wot just fine. plug gap is set to 22
