Cant figure out misfire

Default Cant figure out misfire

I did a seach, checked all things i could find. changed plugs gapped to .28, have msd wires, tried to street tune it and pulled/added timing and nothing helps my misfires...pulls to about 5k then it will climb but misfires like crazy. it will do it on and off and usually during the day...last thing i have to check is the distributor....any other ideas? thanks

Please give us an entire description of your setup, including tuning devices.

Thats your problem. Try a new distributor or at least another coil.

I have a very similar problem. I can't figure it out and everything is at most 6 months old. But I have the stupid Greddy Blue Box. Good luck getting that solved.

are you running rich or lean? Do you have a wideband? These are just other possibilities not related to ignition

Check your dizzy,and get some oem plug wires

When Shane @ Elite & me was dyno tuning my car it was misfiring like hell beyond 5k and shane was stumped on what to do next because we checked everything. Then I decided to gap my plugs down to .25 and surely enough no more misfires.

Try a tighter gap and if all fails try a different distributor.

thanks for the help, problem was i had a burnt/melted coil...fixed and pulls hard!
