but why do it, when an msd cap isnt all to expensive
$30-$50 depending on application

all the msd cap is, is a modified cap. they just charge you $15 to have it already modified.
so the answer is yes

I already answered it for ya, yes you can.
MSD makes a power tower that you put in once you drill out part of the cap.
instuctions are in msd ignition booklets.

i also modified my cap for my MSD setup. it costed me $5 for the tower and 10 min of my time compared to what the shops up here in MN charge $25-$40. and since it was only $5, i made sure to get 3 of them just incase one ever goes bad or if something horrific ever happens.

judging by your name im guessing you have a obd1 car. if you do you can just use a stock prelude cap. the come from the factory with external coils and bolt right up to the same year dist for b series.

Anyone know if MSD still makes and or sells these power tower pieces individually?
http://store.summitracing.com/...D8805
This is the only thing I found from summit and its 35 bucks for "7mm distributor caps, Power Tower wire adapters".

Will someone please tell me what ghetto-gangsta-racer started the term "dizzy" instead of distributor?
Oh.. and their home address would be even nicer. Thank you.
