can you interchange wastegate springs?
I have a 38mm tial wastegate with a 5.80psi spring and my friend gave me a 38mm turbonetics 7.25psi watsegate spring. my question is can i use his spring in my wastegate? i would think as long as both wastegates are 38mm i can do it.

that's difficult to answer. If you're tuned up to a certain point, anything above it MAY require some additional fuel, but that is determined by your tuner if whether or not he has set the mapping up to stay within an AFR above the point that you had before.

i know on my el'cheapo emusa brand wastegate, it says i can use tial or turbonetics springs. haven't installed it yet, so can't tell you for sure. but, springs are so cheap on ebay, why not just get a new one?
