you cant just look at a block and say how much boost it can take.

I would say you could run 40psi on that block......With a little tiny greddy turbo.. Why not ask how much power do we think you can run throught the block..

Since there are alot of 300-400 hp setups running on stock sleeves I would say you could do that..

What does pinned block mean..??
Is it reffering to those cylinders around the cylinder walls??

If you get the block sleeved I don't see why you would even need the pins.

The question you asked is kinda confusing... Do you want to run all that boost now? with the stock sleeves and pins? Why not wait until you get it sleeved?

NO i'm gonna be running 7lbs on my stock block, this block pictured is a potential block that i can buy fairly cheap,so my question was that if i get this block the way it is and sleeve it up with some eagles and pistons-rods can it handle 500 plus?

too bad they pinned it in the wrong direction.

they are both "pinned" blocks but the first one at the top was something we use to do back in the day, like 95-98. the ones with the horizontal pins are something that hasnt been done for too long, i know the guys from HMT do it alot, but you has to be conscious of what size bolts or set scres you are using, if you use little ones are they really gonna prevent side loading of the sleeve?? the ones above seem to be like pretty good size bolts.

still for all that work i would rather just install a 60 dollar block guard and ride out.

i have even seen multiple block guards installed!! its ghetto but it worked

we cemented them on our drag motors only because they didnt run for more than a few seconds, and were alcohol fed so they never even had a chance ot get hot, concrete made them damn near indestructible
