can a stock eg return line handle 2 pumps?
like the topic says. i am designing a parallel fuel system, basically it is 2 pumps 2 feeds, 1 return. we used to run 2 pumps on the buicks and the stock 5/16 ths return line worked fine. t.i.a.

Your asking a question about something I don't think anyone has bothered to do.I would think if your running two stock pumps you would be OK but if your running to big Aeromotive pumps then I don't think so.I would think Honda would engineer the return line volume with some extra room but not 2 or 3 times the stock capacity.

well here is the setup i want to run: walbro intank, and another pick-up with an outboard bosch, that will only be switched on at higher boost levels. this is the identical setup we used to run on the buicks. but we used modern muscle 40 gph pumps instead of the walbro's. but thanks for the reply nontheless.

I would say no but not from personal experience.
On endyn's site there is a mod to drill a hole in the fuel return cause it isn't even good enough for boosted applications.
When I get on it in my eg, if I have a 1/2 tank, it will show empty at the end of a 1/4 mile run, then slowly go up as it all returns to the tank.

I think the only problem it would cause is increased fuel pressure (fuel would be held up, or restricted by the small return line) which you can tune out anyway. How much power are you going for? Must be alot, because Jeff Evans made 65x on a single intank......

i am gonna run 1200's with a t3t67 h.o. hoping for over 600 but i think thats a long shot. i just dont want to stress out the walbro. i have -6 from the filter as of now. i think ill be ok, i wont do any more upgrades till i get the 1200's in and get it back on the dyno.

On my car I use feed for return and worked fine. I was running SX pump with -8 an for feed and factory feed for return.

I was running SX external pump with full-race sump.
Only problem with factory feed line is that where it meets the pump is smaller than rest of line. I changed with fuel line and worked great

so it seems that the general consensus is that a stock return cant handle it, so i think i have made up my mind, that i will do a -8 feed with a -6 return, and an external aeromotive pump.
