Can someone explain boost control through the tune for me?
The car is going to be tuned with Neptune and my laptop. What I don't know is if I need to get a boost controler or not. I've heard you can get a sensor and tune it through the computer? I want a high and low boost setting too. Can someone give me a quick rundown of it? I'm alittle confused.

You need PWM components added into your ECU. Then NepTune controls a PWM output via the ECU and properly controls your boost level. There is a low and high setting and a video in the help / on youtube.

It is EBC... In order to use electronic boost control (via PWM output) through the ECU you need the PWM components installed into the ECU. They're available on many online stores that sell Hondata or NepTune products.

PWM is pulse width modulation. Your ECU is able to control a solenoid, and control the boost by opening and closing the solenoid.

If so how do you use both it and the computer software? The EBC has ***** to turn to adjust boost and the software has inputs you can change.
Now this is what I was thinking. Where this solenoid goes, I have no idea. BUT to me it makes more sense that a single solenoid works by what the input of the software is. Not a whole EBC from say Greddy or HKS...

http://www.xenocron.com/pwm-electron...ffa6bc9e2c58eb
get that plus the pwm outputs in your ecu and find someone that can solder them in for you... thats all you need, no need to spend the money for a greddy unit
t1 also has a unit but its more expensive ($100)

i'm not familiar with neptune, but i know on hondata you can use the a/c switch as your high/low boost if you don't have a/c on your setup so no need to install anything else. neptune probably has a similar feature, just talk to your tuner about it. theres also several other inputs to the ecu you can use and install an aftermarket switch if you do happen to have a/c.
