Default can i turbo my mini swap?

i have a p08 head (zc) with a y7 block. do u think i can turbo it i have a garrett turbo t3/t4 and i was wondering if the compression is to high for me to be able to turbo it and not blow it. or what would i have to do to help it not blow up on me. thicker head gasket?

oh and i wanted to see if i can use stock internals for the time being and what horse power i shouldnt exceed by doing that in order to keep it stock internals.

Yes...

Wasn't aware you could blow a turbo from engine compression...

or what would i have to do to help it not blow up on me. thicker head gasket?

For what, to ruin your quench/ flame travel?

Why couldnt you? People do it all the time...

and what horse power i shouldnt exceed by doing that in order to keep it stock internals.

Every setup will be different on what is safe for your motor... When do the ringlands usually let go? ~280whp... Also, high RPMs kill engines...

Im doing a mini me on my civic this weekend and boosting it was my next plan. You should be fine with stock internals as long as you dont go crazy on the boost, i would only run 6 or 8lbs. And being as civics are ment to be n/a cars you will gain more hp then you think off such a small amount of boost.

Yeah, with low boost you wont have to worry about upgrading anything.

Umm...WRONG

Search the Forced Induction FAQ first. If you have questions after that, start a new thread and ask.

In short, you can turbo your mini-me. Keep your goals reasonable (220-240whp for a stock D) and do a lot of research. People who dont do research before building a turbo setup end up having problems.
