it will definately get hott in the engine bay and if you have an integral wastegate i believe you can actually boost spike once in a while. i've heard people spiking with bigger than usual downpipes and causes spikes, no downpipe would just increase the chances.

I did this to see if everything was running good on my car once and got caught up fixing something while it was running and it started to melt my fan cause I have the exhaust side on the passanger side of the car. but just make sure you pay attention to everything close when you start it up and let it run

I wouldn't do it.. If your turbine outlet is pointing to the driver side, it could damage your alternator or A/C compressor. Exhaust gases are really hot and will probably melt any wires or plastic around it.

And I definitely wouldn't drive it like that, it's not going to have any power since the turbo will be sucking in exhaust fumes instead of fresh air.

My friend ran his turbo ZC for a while like that; exhaust consisting of an O2 housing coming off the turbo. No real damage to his engine bay that I know of, but I'd just wait.

you COULD do it as long as it's clear of anything meltable... like someone above said - just make sure you pay VERY close attention to what's going on.

But then again, just because you COULD do it ... doesn't really mean you should. You COULD run your car completely untuned but no one smart wants to do that, know what i mean? IMO, just wait for the downpipe to come in ... or even custom fab something quick that'll send the exhaust gasses elsewhere.

But if you must ... go for it - snag a vid too good luck brother
