Can i reuse my bearings on a rebuild????
I totally rebuilt my jdm zc, sleeved block, pistons, rods, all that crap. I'm tryin to save a little cash cause i'm runnin low. I was wondering if it would be ok to reuse all of my bearings. It was a low mileage motor and they all look good with no significant wear. Also i'll be boostin this thing at about 20psi. Just curious on your opinons. I've already got close to 3k into it so i may get all new ones to be on the safe side, but thought i'd ask for the hell of it. Thanks

Why spend all that money and then have it fail on you because of a set of used bearings? A full set only costs about $100.

I know there's a bunch of dicounted OEM honda parts dealers here on the site, can't remember their screen names off hand though. Have you looked into acl bearings? I'm not sure if they make a set for ZC motors though, but those are right at $100 for a full set of mains, rods, and thrust washers.

Re: Can i reuse my bearings on a rebuild???? (boostaholic)
long story about this, but i had to swap all my build components from one block to another. The original setup had maybe 1500miles i dynoed it and raced it only 8 times down the 1/4 when she had trouble. When i tore it all down i grabbed a penny and ran it across the bearing surfaces. If no copper is left, reuse the bearings. This saves you small money and big time from ordering stuff.
