Default can i make 450whp with this simple build.

so im shooting for 450whp on a turbo gsr. im keeping the head 100% stock will this cause enough restriction that i might not reach my goal? e85 is an option if needed.

mods:
spa 6000 turbo
go autoworks mini ramhorn.
38mm tial.
percesion 1000's
81.5mm 9:1 JE pistons
Eagle rods
2.5' IC piping, with a big fmic.
blox intake manifold.
3' turbo back.
going to be tuning on neptune.

nothing wrong... just thought it would provide better protection against creep. Being that its gonna take close to 20psi to make the power he's asking for...

Not saying anything is wrong with the 38mm. I guess im just going off what i would do...

Sorry for any confusion...

1. i agree with the 44mm upgrade (my experience) it will greatly help in regulating boost levels if you have a 2 bolt flange on your manifold you can get a little adapter that has the vband on it... thats what i did atleast

2. also do you have a catch can setup?

3. you might want to consider valve springs and retainers so you can rev a little past the 8000 rpm level 8500? when your on the dyno and your motor is screaming it will make you feel better knowing those upgraded springs and retainers are there lol

do you have an lsd in your transmission.... once you put that power on the street your going to wish you did have one....

I would strongly considering addressing the first 3 i mentioned if all your worried about is making that power goal.... but if you want to make it stick on the pavement i personally strongly recommend the lsd.

good luck

you dont need head work to rev past 8500 is it peace of mind to do it yes is it a must no way but its good advice

Ill assume you say simple build and wanna keep it that way to not spend a ton of cash to get where you wanna be and you have it man.

my stock block with stock head made 500 at 26psi on e85 and 1000cc injectors thats a totallt stock setup like you would pull from a teg (gsr) thats a 38mm gate/50mm blow off/2.5' charge piping/cx intercool IE ebay cooler/72mm throttle body/e85 block still runs like a champ, and is about to get slammed back in my ride since the built block went byby.

its all in what ya wanna do man and only you know what you can afford to get done.

44mm sounds like a good idea with the adaptor, and i will be making a catch can. as for the springs and retainers i was trying not to spend the $350. but i guess ill have to do it. i got a type r lsd in it now idk how much abuse it will take but i will have to find that out.

as for the fuel pump it it got a 255 in tank but if i end up going with e85 im getting another inline 255

this is the turbo sepcs it has the .63ar

you dont need headwork to rev TO 8500... Past that your gonna wanna upgrade to atleast Type R components.... Taking a completely stock head GSR up 9k religously is asking for trouble...

anyone that revs there motor past 8500 without upgrading the springs and retainers is flirting with disaster... obviously you dont have to do it... you could probably get away with revving a stock head to 10k but thats doesnt mean its safe... whats the point of making 400+ horsepower on a 4 cylinder if you cant feel confident while using it... just saying...

the same thing goes for the catch can... MAJOR piece of mind... t1 tested the catch can theories and proved its purpose. the b&r drainback kit is a good kit

i know when i was running my 38mm wastegate i was getting boost spikes but i was also using a t3t67ho... you cant go wrong with the 44mm upgrade... with a 44mm on my 6265 with a 9lb spring i creep to roughly 13psi

the type r lsd will work great! i am actually using the exact same lsd for the past 3 years with over 400whp

Worry about boost creep if you're trying to run 8psi, not 20. There's probably going to be plenty of backpressure in the manifold at 20 psi boost to help out a smaller wastegate unless you're rocking a big turbo.

Stock heads will easily do past 450hp. You can gain some efficiency by matching your cams to your manifold/turbo setup but it's not strictly necessary.

I made 450 on a 38mm Tial, 750s, PeakBoost FTW manifold kit, Garrett 60-1 .63AR, GSR cams, S2 manifold, on 93. Made it at 18lbs.

Yours sounds like it will make it

Very similar results. I made 418 on a 38mm tial, deka 750s, PeakBoost FTW manifold, 57 trim, s2 pro series intake manifold, 68mm TB, and a thicker hg @ 18 lbs.

Daily driven, zero problems. Similar setup around town on e85 made 500 on a gt30r.

Your setup sounds good. Only comments are arp head studs.
