Can I have a B18B motor with a turbo kit for an gsr integra?
I have a '95 civic with a B18B swap and I want to keep it legal. I was looking to eventually get an edlebrock kit but I saw the just had it for vtec. If I get this kit would everything be fine?

It should be the same setup...my only concern would be that the EMS with the setup may be set for a GSR. I'm not sure what Edelbrock uses for tuning in those kits...you may want to check up on that portion of it. All of the parts will work for either engine...

I'm pretty sure it comes with an intake manifold and 4 extra injectors plus a piggy back ecu. I don't think its tunable and only compensates for boost and the additional injectors though I may be wrong. Eitherway its specific to a gsr and you wouldn't want to use it unless you had a way to retune. In which case you would want the victor kit (not the preformer) which doesn't come with an ems and just run hondata or something of that nature.

Most states you'd be fine, but in California, everything is strict. You may want to post in the Regional Forums in order to get a better idea of the local laws and regulations before buying anything.

Re: (Schister66)
The issues with getting the edelbrock kit for the b18b motor is the piggyback is made for a b18c1 motor and will not properly work in your car. The intake manifold would also need to be swapped because the heads have different bolt patterns but thats not to big of a concern. You could check out the greddy turbo kit, I know its definately not close to the quality of the edelbrock one but its street legal and when I emailed edelbrock recently about them making a kit for the ls they said they were still only in discussions about it.

The edelbrock kit runs anywhere from 4000 to 4800 for the b series kit depending on where you buy it a vender in the marketplace might sell for a little cheaper and for the greddy kit i've seen it cost about 2500 a little less at some places.

The civic si kit would put you in the same situation as the gsr kit would with the issue of the intake manifold and the piggyback but everything else would be fine.

So for the Greddy $2500 kit what would be included in that?

Re: (mike03,95civic)
Can you just piece together a turbo kit and recurculate the wastegate and use a cat. converter?
Or does the kit have to be "labeled" CARB exempt?
