Default can I get buy with a vafc for now? would that harm my car?

Okay... here's the dealy - I'm going to be turboed soon but the type of ecu or fuel computer to get is in question.

Now I know the best thing for my setup would be hondata, but because of the price, I'll be turboed later rather then "soon" if I go with hondata.

I was therefore considering getting the vafc2.

Here's what I'd need then:
dsm 450cc injectors $50
resistor box $20
255 lph fuel pump $100
vafc 2 $300
tuning $250
total - $720

If I go with hondata:
dsm 450cc injectors $50
resistor box $20
255 lph fuel pump $100
hondata s200b $450
p28 ecu $120
obd2 - obd1 harness $80
tuning $500
total - $1320

For the money I'd spend on hondata, I could buy a new flywheel and clutch

So for lets say... 250whp, how had would it really be to use the vafc? If I build my motor I can always get the hondata then for more boost (I'd need to retune it anyway)

I personally went with the FMU missing link setup first. i then stepped up to the V-AFC hack with 450 DSM's. I pulled 268 WHP at 7psi the car ran like a champ and netted me a couple 11 second runs. I also drove the car every day.

If you don't have the money for Hondata you can pick up a a V-AFC for 200, DSM's for 70, and a resistor box for 30. Just add in a walbro or inline and you have a decent fuel system on a budget. I know Hondata is the way to go and thats what I just steped up to, but the hack is a step in the right direction. You can always use the 450's for the hondata and then sell the V-AFC later to help fund the hondata.

hey...on an eclipse site...called 2gnt they show you how to trick the s-afc to sense boost instead fo throttle position, i think it owuld work the same for a v-afc...dont know much about it but you gotta buy about 25 dollars in other stuff but it says it works...here the site...its in the part called sections, under mods...http://www.2gnt.com/nuke/index.php....whats everyone think of this?
