Can i get 18PSI out of a 8psi spring w/BC?

Default Can i get 18PSI out of a 8psi spring w/BC?

Im going to get tuned next week. I plan on running 18psi max. Can i use a big yellow (8.70psi) spring, how much over spring lbs can i go?

BTW: this is a tial 44mm WG and ill be using a MBC

you should be able to.my car has a 5psi spring and im currently running 18psi with my mbc.i always thought you were suppost to use a real weak wastegate spring when using any type of boost controller.

Yes. The spring (if it is a TiAL) typically can take 2.5 times its rate (In your case over 20psi) Get to tuning. Good luck.

i'd say it would have been made sooner with more power under the curve had you had a stiffer spring in it, and been more consistent ;-)

I have a .7bar spring in my v44 that makes 13psi on my setup. I've made 29psi on a GM solenoid.
