Can an AT handle SC/Turbo/NOS
Hey all-
I have a 97 EX with an automatic transmission, and I'm wondering if it could handle the additional power of a supercharger, turbo, or NOS system (maybe a 50 shot)?
I can't sell my car, so that's not an option.
Am I screwed?
Thanks!

Re: Can an AT handle SC/Turbo/NOS (starmax)
it can handle it but i would reccommend better torque converter as well as better cooling for the tranny.

i wouldnt try it cause honda auto's are weak and cost big bucks to repair, swap in a 5 speed, itll prob feel like its supercharged as compared to the auto slush box,the 5sp is a lot stronger and will be quicker.

Re: Can an AT handle SC/Turbo/NOS (D-Man)
Wouldn't that be just as costly as adding the SC/Turbo? I think I'd byte the bullet and trade my 97ex for a 99si at that point. Although then I might be looking for a good divorce lawyer...
