Default can any muffler shop do a full 3" exhaust?

Im ready to put my whole kit on and Im wondering how I should do the exhaust, Im thinking of just getting a muffler shop to do a whole turbo back system, I have flanges, muffler and flexpipe, im not looking for a nice polished finish or super nice welds, all they would have to do is bend pipe and weld it up(no cat or resonator), this a good idea? how much should I spend? thanks.

Most muffler shops only do crush bent piping which restricts exhaust flow to an extent. So if you want mandrel bent piping you'd have to buy your own pipes online or find a shop that does mandrel.

just buy 3" piping from kteller.com which is fairly cheap, take it to ur local muffler shop and have them weld everything up

I would but I need a downpipe and dumptube also

If I find a shop that does mandrel bends how much should I pay?

You wont find one, and if you do it'll be expensive.

Kteller is releasing a 3" Catback for the Integra with your choice of muffler.

if you want to go catless i'd stay away from the muffler shops. all of them around here won't touch a car without a cat on it and they make you pay for one if you get you exhaust bent by them. i'd go kteller

ok how much do you guys think they would charge If I found a shop that could do mandrel bends and no cat? If there is the smallest chance I can find a shop I want to be able to know if Im being ripped off.

Just buy a ready made exhaust system, trust me. I did what you are trying to do and it was kinda a pita. I had to call a lot of exhaust shops, and most thought I was crazy for wanting 3" on a civic. Most will not do ss, and you will prolly not find anyone who will tig the exhaust (you said you wanted purdy welds...) for a price that will be in your ballpark. It cost me $550 to get my full 3" turbo back exhuast done in aluminized. This included high flow cat and dynomax straight through muffler and a 3" flex (that I brought to them) welded up. The welds were ok, but no where near clean welds. They will likely mig it and they won't be really nice looking mig welds either. Most muffler shops don't care about looks, they are more concerned with function. Lemme put it this way, the cleanest weld on the whole exhuast system was the one I put on the flange right off of the turbo. And I SUCK at welding.

If you want a professional looking exhaust system you will have to go to a performance muffler shop, you will likely have to purchase the mandrel bends yourself (or buy the bends from them @ a marked up price) and it will likely cost you an arm and a leg. My guess is $800+. Thermal said they would do my full exhaust for ~$800 and I know they would have done it really clean. I just didn't have that kind of fundage back then.

GL, hope this helped a lil bit.

Edit:
Just saw that you said you didnt want pretty welds or a shiny exhaust. Hookd on phonix worx fer me! If that's the case then just do as stated by many others.....buy some aluminized (I wouldn't go straight ms) u bends, a straight piece, a flex pipe and muffler and take them all into a muffler shop and have them weld it up.

speaking of this, i just got a full 3" for my car today. made by a TRUSTED exhaust shop. the guys that own it, race cars, and do a good job. I got it all done for 200$. i didnt have anything except the muffler. So you should be looking between 200-250. i notice a hella a change, and it sounds awesome. but soo much improvement over that stock 1 3/4 BS. good luck, let us know how it goes

dude i don't know where you got that done ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.......i paid almost 200 just to get a downpipe and mid section put together.......that was w/ the price of the bends i got.......but make sure your **** is mendrel bent......and don't believe anything the muffler shop says,"you don't need 3" piping" most of them just don't want to expletive with it......find a performance shop or an awesome welder and make the trip.

im a broke *** so i did it the ghetto way. i bought the resonator and turbo muffler from kteller and just took it to a muffler shop. the bends arent actually that much smaller than 3in to me, never measured it though. i only got charged $120 for everything, and i was pretty happy with the outcome.

A local shop that does mandrel quoted me $357 for a 2.5" catback including one of their mufflers. It probably varies by shop, but I'm guessing it'd be in the $400 range for a 3" then you add sales tax if it's applicable. I said screw it and I went and ordered a bunch of mandrel bends from http://store.racing-solutions.org along with a cat, resonator, and muffler and I'm going to have someone weld them together for me.

You would save a ton of money if you just buy 2 or 3 U bends and 6feet of straight piping and cut and welded it youself. Thats what i did, and it costed under 100$.
