which camshaft should i get for my civic d16z6 turbo
i have a civic d16z6 turbocharge with the greddy kit boosting at 6 right now. i want to buy aftermarket camshaft. should i get it or not. and if i do. i only found two right now. one is 59100 and 59300. which one should i get and do they work well with turbo.....

It won't make a difference worth a damn on a basic setup like yours. Get an exhaust, or a clutch, or a fuel pump, or something else that benefits the turbo setup.

i would save the money for something like forged internals or better tuning, which would allow you to run more boost, which will ultimately make more hp than a camshaft would. <U>if </U> you get a cam- the zex 59100 is only a very mild upgrade from stock and not worth the money, go with the 59300. i would probably get crowers forced induction cam before i would get either of the zex cams tho...

DO NOT waste your money on a camshaft. The price for the HP gain is nothing and you really do not need a camshaft. I have a boosted D16Z6 as well running 9 pounds on a stock head. I would put that money towards forged internals rather than a cam.....think about it

Spend the money on a intercooler and start saving for a better tuning device!!!! The best that cam will do for you is add 5whp as you are , compared to a intercooled well tuned sohc you could will see a gain of arounf 50whp when boost is turned upto around 10psi.

Unless you intend to begin running 15-20psi your money is better spent elsewhere. At these boost levels, the 200-300 for a cam is going to make a noticable power gain, but until then, your wasting your money.

get a safc if you're running a fmu setup and AT LEAST run the hack. Fuel management >>>>cam. I'd get the skunk 2 or zex FI cam, they are both pretty good and don't require new springs/retainers.
