Camshaft advice for boosted GSR
Im looking to upgrade my camshafts and get a retune in a few months....wanted to hear some advice on canshafts...currently im running GSR cams.
Here is a breif overview of my set-up
b18c Sleeved and Oringed Darton mids
port and polish b16 head and stainless steel valves.
Peak boost kit...Ram horm....garrett t3/t4oe 60 trim
9:1 compression
AEBS intake manifold with part matched 65mm Edelbrock TB
full 3" exhaust downpipe back...mandrel bent kteller exhasut with apexi turbo world sport 2 muffler 3" inlet.
thats the basic stuff...the head already has skunk2 springs and retainers
This is a daily driver in the summer only... im looking to maybe spool a little faster and gain some more power with less boost.
currently im making 385whp at 15psi...that was before i resleeved it....i got it sleeved but nothing changed i kept the same 81.5mm bore so i didnt have it retuned afterwards
Im thinking the skunk2 tuner 1's i cannot find and itr /ctr cams there not easy to come by...so im thinking the tuner 1's is good for my goals...really only looking to make 450whp max....its not a drag car its my summer car strictly for street use and a occasional track event maybe once a year
any advice would be helpful or anyone who is running the tuner 1's please chime in and let me know how you like them....i realize the pro 1's are better but with my size turbo i think its overkill.

tuner 1s will cost you more than oe R cams and you take a hit on quality.
used set of R cams should be $300-350 and all you need are the intake yellows to finish the combo. your gsr blues can be used on the exhaust cam

Ehh...not completely true on the hit on quality. I got a set of Tuner1s for $400 and wouldn't trade them for ITRs anyday. OP, your cams are fine for your goals, but Mac (TheShodan) pointed out, your turbo will be reaching its thresh hold. Save up & get a turbo fitted for your needs. The Tuner1 cams need at least a 61-lb/min turbo charger to really wake up.
I have Tuner1s and didn't grab them until after I upgraded my turbo to the Silver Surfer from STC. A friend of mine ran these same cams on a Super60 turbo....he's not really happy with the gains.

Re: Camshaft advice for boosted GSR
with your turbo your not going to get any great gains with cams
your current setup will do exactly what you want it to do
if you want to make it more efficient for a future turbo than the skunk2 stage1's will be a great set of cams for the future

Plently of people making 450whp with gsr cams, why not just stick with them? ITR/CTR if you were buying brand new but when buying used its really hard to tell if there ITR's or not.
