Default Cams for turbo use with non-vtec head

So I've decided not to go the hybrid vtec route with my build (B18B) as I would rather spend the cash on either sleeves or gearbox mods...

So, what other cams would suit a Garrett 3076R .82 A/R? Or a similar turbo? From what I have read online, vtec cams won't fit a non vtec head so getting Skunk2 ones for example will be pointless.

Cheers

Aaron

there have been lots of results and dyno test showing "turbo" specific cams make **** for power. you are better off using a cam designed for N/A on your turbo setup. as long as you have it tuned properly it will make great power.

if i had to build a non-vtec turbo LS i would choose crower 403's on boost....

Crower 404s made 502whp at 27psi on a SC61 for me. I mean drivability isnt the greatest because they are pretty aggressive.

Yeah I was looking at the 404's. Only going to be a race engine anyway so aggressive is good although I thought I read somewhere they weren't real good for turbo apps because they have a high overlap?
