Default Calling E85 user's post your spark plug brand, part number, gap & pics of used plugs

Here goes, I've searched and searched and never found any pics and in depth discussion on the use of spark plugs with E85. So in the interest of knowledge please keep all of the useless B.S. out, please post as much info as possible.

This first pic consist of bkr7e-11 NGK's, gapped at 30 about two month's old with daily use, heavy track use towards the end of their life. I"m running my E85 in a ls-v b18b bottom end and gsr head with a sc61 on nine psi.

These are bkr7e-11 NGK's about a week old gapped at 35 with about 5 hard passes of track use and daily driven on.

I've played around with closer gapps like 20-25 and even 40s once, the closer gapps are better over all. The only thing is when they start going bad I have a missfire at WOT. that's when I change them.

I also have a 93 octane tune and notice that the plugs off the 93 tune are your typical brownish normal use wear and tear. When I pull the plugs out of the E85 tune they are more on the white side less discoloration, keep in mind my car is fully tuned and regardless of that I just want more info. as we all do I assume

Thanks for looking.

Quick question is it common to get that misfire/stutter with honda's at wot when the plugs are going bad? I've been reading on the subie forums and it seems that everyone gets this misfire/stutter. I'm going with the same plug because of the fact that I have 5 sets this time i'm gapping at 18.

NGK R5671A-9
or
NGK R5671A-8

gapped to .22 runs great no break up. but because of data logging problems I will switch to a resistor type, I prabably dont need them this cold anyways will switch to 7

I used regular old BKR7E gapped at .16-.18 for over 20psi when I was tuned, right nder 20psi I was at .25 and had it started breaking up and then my coil took a crap a day later but I never tried opening the gap up to see if the coil was the culprit.

Complete OEM, my new setup has an AEM EPM, K-Series Coils and I might add a KB Boost-A-Spark.

You generally don't need as cold of a plug when using E85.. Our sales guys SC400 with 1JZ is on 30PSI daily (literally hits 30PSI everytime he leaves a light) He's running Brisk DR14S at .020 gap.. Thats equivalent to a #7 heat range in NGK.
