Calling all boosted members with 16" wheels, Need your help on tires.
Well currently my tire setup is Falken azenis 205/50/15 up front and some beat up kumhos in back. I recently found an awesome deal on some 16x7 Volk te37's so I will no longer have my 15" gsr blades as of next week. My first option was going to be the tire setup I ran last year, Nitto 555r's in front and regular tires in back, but had heard rumors they were discountinued. I called my friend at discount and sure enough they are in fact discountinued.
I want to hear feedback from you boosted guys running 16" tires, what kind you have? how you like them? traction? Price? ect..... I considered going with the Azenis again but they only make the 16" in 215/45/16 and didn't want any rubbing problems.
I know I won't find anything really sticky in 16", but I want to see what other poeple are running and see if these will meet my every day driving needs. My ultimate plan is to find a pair of cheap/light 15" wheels and slap some bfg's on them for track/occasional street use, but that will be later when I have some extra $
Thanks in advance

Iggy,
I run 215/45/16 azenis, as long as your offset on the tire is more than +42mm, you won't have any rubbing problem. I had 16x7 with +40mm wheels and I was getting some rubbing every now and then, but when I switched to +45, the rubbing went away and I eve drop my car a little bit lower.

Stan the wheels are 16x7 42mm offset.
My car isn't extremely low, I would say about 1.8 in front so from the sound of it I should be fine. The Azenis is a really great tire for the $, so if there wont be a rubbing issue then there hard to pass up.

generally 215/40/16 will yield the same rotational diamtere as stock.
unfortunately not many brands offer that size.
some of the better ones would be toyo Ts1, Dunlop SP series, bridgeston potenza series are all great tires.
