Buying a ZEX 55-75 Wet shot for high strung LSVTEC
Okay, here is the plan. I've been doing a lot of research into Nitrous systems, and from what I've read, ZEX wet is the safest way to go. I like how Zex has the nitrous control box, that manages fuel enrichment according to bottle pressure.. I think that its a really cool feature of this system.

^^ This is my current setup, dyno and engine mods are in that thread. I plan on only running the 55 shot, that is until I'm comfortable with how it runs. The only thing that really scares me is detonation, right now I'm tuned on 93 octane with the ignition timing at 16 deg BTDC. I'm worried about my current ECU, I'm running a "Mugen chipped" PR3. If I'm not mistaken, those "Mugen programs" advance timing a lot, which would be a bad thing for Nitrous.
Now, I know I might have to retard ignition timing a degree or two.
I have 93 octane fuel
Running NGK 8's
Things I'm worried about:
Mugen ECU program
Stock fuel pump
What do the F.I. gurus think I should do before ordering this kit?

ZEX kit is a great kit. However you are right to worry about the two items you listed. You need to get rid of the Mugen chip and you need a Walbro 255lph high pressure fuel pump.

Damnit, I knew that chip would pwn me someday... Time to learn turboedit.
Do you see any problems with my running a 35 shot on my current setup?
Edit: I'm picking up an NX kit this weekend with 35hp jets...

You are right I didn't notice he mentioned the wet kit. I thought he was talking about the dry kit.

I'm still concerned with the Mugen chip...

I have not idea how much it advances the timing so you should be concerned. Just put a stock chip back in. That's the only way to be safe.

Yeah, I'm going to try and get the ECU rechipped with a stock ignition map, but I'd like to keep the same fuel maps, no o2, no fuel cut.. need to find an OBD0 chipper.
Can I spray the 35 shot on 110/93 octane mix safely in your opinion?
I'm currently running NGK 8 heat range V Power Racing plugs.
