I have a 94 si hatch, and if i recall the blackbox disables vtec. should i run with this temporarily or do you guys think i should ditch the box and upgrade the injectors, pump, etc.... im real eager to put the turbo on my car but i dont wanna blow it up the same day! btw, if i have to upgrade my fuel, that means my turbo wont go on for like six months cuz im broke.

from what i've heard the black box really isn't that great. the blue box that they have now is better but to a certain extent. go the other route and get a fmu, fuel pump, injectors etc. or try a search and look up "AFC hack", very good stuff.

The blackbox was never really intened to be used on VTEC's. Remember, the GReddy kit was initially designed for the JDM ZC motor, GReddy then adapted it to the U.S. D16's without taking into consideration that manipulating the coolant temp signal to the motor would disable VTEC.. don't use it. If you can find a bluebox, it's much improved over the blackbox, but as already stated, the bluebox has it's limits depending on your fuel setup.

that kinda sucks though, that i have to pay money for a box that i'd ditch 6 months later anyway. maybe i will wait... but who has that kind of control?
