My eBay 35r is still going strong after two years. It made 441/303 on 19lbs. Paid $225, if it blows I'll buy another. Great turbo for the money. Shaft play still feels like new.

For me it's not just about the quality but also the performance.

This sums it up. I tell people the same thing, if they want to take a risk, go for it, but if the car is crucial for transportation or if they aren't willing to accept the possibility that the turbo may immediately fail and need to be replaced, or worse cause damage to the engine, not to take that gamble.

I too, am not a gambling man.

I thought they were fantastic. All the right components are needed. You need to understand how to tune, know the program parameters, and features of the engine management software.

The safeties in the software work well. I think blowing it up is actually hard to do. You almost need to sabotage it.
