built h23 vs jdm h22
new to this site and did a search on this and couldn't really find my particular situation;
I own a 96 civic hatch with a jdm h22 (301whp @ 8psi) which i just blew. I picked up a fully built h23a1 (sleeved/crank/rods/pistons) that came with what appears to be a built head(valves, springs and adjustable cam gears). and was wondering what you guys feel is a better mate to the built h23 which I'm putting in, the jdm h22 vtec head or the built non vtec 23. Wanna boost it hopefully to 450+ whp. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and if i missed this thread in the search my bad.
