built dohc d16zc turbo
i recentely started a bulid.i just finished up the motor and i just wanted to know what everyone thinks
jdm dohc d16zc
75.5mm vitara pistons
eagle h beam rods
king bearings
d16z6 crank
crespo high lift springs
stock cams and cam gears
xtd stage 3 clutch
competition lightweight flywheel
stock head gasket
stock headstuds
dsm 450cc injectors
ebay intercooler kit
ebay manifold
greddy bov
xs power wastegate
gm 2 bar map sensor
i was planning on building this motor with 8.5:1 compressions.after the build i realized that the new pistons where dished shaped and the stock ones where dome shaped.this motor has the biggest combustion chamber out of all d series.so when i put the low compression pistons in i used zeal autoworks compression calculator and my compression will be around 7:1.that doesnt realy bother me because i dont have to worry about detination as much and i can safely run more boost.my plan was to run around 25 pounds of boost on a 57 trim turbo but i ran out of money and had to use stock gasket and studs so im just gonna get a tune for around 10 psi.just let me know what you think about it and possibly give me some ideas
ill post pics as soon as i can
