built d16a6 or d16z6 for turbo in CRX?
i've got a 91 crx si and i can get ahold of either a d16z6 or a d16a6 for pretty cheap. i want to built it over the winter for turbo and can't decide which one is best? i'm open to suggests. Can anybody also help me with a parts list of some webpages about building D-series engines. i'm lookin for a 200-250hp. thanks guys!. Paul

Definitely go z6. The head flows substantially better then the a6. Look at the AUTOFAQ on this forum:

It has alot of good details about the a6, z6 and y6 to compare. "Steve" on the forum knows his D16 series stuff. Just search the autofaq before asking your question.

Well, if you want to start off, I have a set of Crower rods for d-series (used but in excellent condition) for sale.....$400 shipped

Turbo mini-me? A little tricky to tune but I gives good result with the high compression factor. You might want to invest in a Zdyne if you're gonna turbo a CRX. I'm sure a 14B off a 1G DSM would work well on it.
