Building up a JDM D15B SOHC V-TEC/ Cheaper than B16A
Well I just got a JDM D15B SOHC V-TEC. I originally was gonna by a SI-R front clip but was WAYYYY to expensive, Almost $5,000.00 . So I bought a JDM D15B for only $300 and cost me a total of $950.00 to have it put on . $900 included the engine, ac bracket, intake manifold, distributor, cold air intake, ECU, and complete installation. I was able to use my original tranny since it was also a D15 except USDM with only 70 HP, my new engine produces around 130HP stock! It's on the car so now it's time to build it up. Any one has experience with this motor to give me some advice. Thanks..

Well, you are posting in the forced induction forum, so let me just say this: Get it turbo'd as soon as possible.
Building it up? Well, shouldn't be anything too dificult. Just get rods and pistons of your choice, some ACL bearing, and start boosting it hard.
Those are kind of general answers, but then again, so is your question.

A cada quien su propio...I guess. But with the money that would have been spent on a B16, you can just easily get forged internals, and maybe even sleeves. That would make for a plenty potent 400 hp capable motor.

like he said dollar for dollar you can make a sohc run faster and more reliable then chosing a dohc...expecially if he has a budget...not everyone can throw down 5g's for a built motor and turbo....the d15b is a great lil motor that can take alot with the right parts....but dont take my word for it....
