Which means there's a problem with them in the first place. IF you want to tear the engine apart on a regular basis just to get more of their crappy bearings, you'll make 500whp in no time... just be on the side of the road doing it.

Get good bearings. why cheap out on that part of the build? they arent that expensive to get a good name brang one thats know to perform.

yes get a new water an oil pump. those are like blood for the engine. and your right there anyway when building it. no point in skipping that part of the proccess to save a bit of cash.

If we all went by this method alot of us would still be rolling stock. Is that your motto for building cars?

You: hey guys I just installed a gt35r on my car. And plan on making 800hp
Honda tech: really? What rods did you go with?
you: stock.
Honda tech: are u serious?
you: ya if its not broke y change it?

Its called preventative maintenance. Do it right the first time and avoid doing it a costly second time. Like someone else already said the oil and water pumps are the life of the motor. A failure to one of these will quickly be the end of a lot of things so y risk it and say well its not broke y change it. Guess what 20 miles down the road when ya didn't change it it could go out and throw a rod at you for being a douche and not changing them out.
