BOV'S.........Which ones sound the best?
Which BOV'S sound the best. I'm not talking like the gay squeak. I mean the loud swish sound like a triple stage. Is that right? I don't know let me know what you guys think!
And I did search and couldn't find anything except ones for sale. But if there is a thread for this let me know. Nicely please!! LOL

BOVs without gay squeak: Turbo XS, Tial, Blitz, Apexi, and the new Greddy Type RS sounds awesome. I hated the old Greddy Type S, but this one is totally different. It's pretty cheap @ $169 shipped. Check out this video:

To me, that's what a bov should sound like. It's supposed to hold 30psi, and it fits the old Type S flanges.

This is a pointless thread, in the sense that there is no way in hell people are going to agree on what BOV sounds the best. The ricer in me loves blow off valves as much as the next guy, but you might as well be asking people what the Best sneakers are. No one is going to agree.

LOL, but we both couldn't resist clicking on it and posting in it! If you read what he said, he didn't want the "gay squeak." I didn't mind helping him.
By the way, I buy cheap New Balance sneakers for $40. They last longer than expensive sneakers I've owned and don't look like moon boots.

That sounds just like my turbo xs rfl...
I think it sounds differently when you are driving though...
Anyways, I like almost all blow off valves except for the high-pitched Greddy type-s... I think I am going to go Tial next time around because I love the sound and the quality is top notch...

I think Tial has been hyped to death because they make good wastegates. I'm sure it works fine, but it's just a bov. From what I've read, Turbosmart makes better wastegates than Tial, but Tial is still more popular.

I think it's funny how everyone thinks the GReddy Type S squeeks...I have that one on my rex and it doesn't squeek at all...just sounds like a Blitz when blowing off from full boost and chatters like a mo fo if I let off when the turbo is building boost. :shrugs: I really like the way that Type RS sounds.

There's a bov that sounds like someone is yanking the parking brake between shifts. I think it's the Greddy Type R. You only hear them on higher powered cars like Supras or NSXs.

You're one of the lucky ones! I've heard tons of them, and they've all squeaked.

I just watched it. It's funny you gave me a link to that video, because that's the exact car I was thinking of when mentioning NSXs. That's the bov I was talking about. It's pretty weird, but I like it. Did you notice that when he first started driving, the noise sounded like a whoosh?

He's talking about the Greddy type s, not the Turbo XS type S.
