Default BOV air leak?

At idle, if i put my hand over my BOV, i feel air pushing out...im thinking this is wrong...but, when i snap the throttle, it goes away, almost like a vacuum feeling...so im asking, is my bov leaking? tighten it? etc...thanks

Well i just found the BOV that is on my car, here at http://www.360infiniteusa.com/sbv-bl...val-p-241.html

Thinking it was prolly not acting right, if the thing is only $15.99...jeez...But to me, i would think it should be air tight at idle, or all the way til letting off throttle and needing to then open? Am i thinking wrong?

You have to remember that vacuum from your intake is pullin the BOV open as it would be once you let off the gas to shift and blow off. Once you start making boost it shuts the BOV and the spring inside helps with that operation to. But it should not be blowin air out of the BOV it should be suckin it in. Not sure if it just feels like it to you

that kinda depends sometimes turbos will spool and creat a little boost at idle, which is why the bov is venting....this seems to be a little more common on the BB turbos

that is true tho about the map sensor being before or after the bov. I have no idea at all where the Map would be pre BOV but I see where he is coming from.
