Borg Warner S366 or S366XL which is better
I am looking to purchase a new Turbo and I am currently running a Custom T3 ram horn manifold was looking to convert to a T4 and get the S366XL but that means modifying the manifold to make a t4 fit. So im stuck should i just stick with the S366 (not the XL) and run the largest T3 whick is the .85 A/R or go to the 366XL so im asking is there much of a difference.

From the previous testing I have seen, the T4 66 and the 66XL are damn close in power. The 66XL was made to fit class rules for a class that no longer exists.
If you want to stay T3, the T3 S366 makes some nasty power, I have seen traps above 150mph if that helps at all.

wait for the shodan to answer, but i believe the differences are the comp wheel and comp housing other than that they are the same.

the .70a/r is the comp a/r NOT the turbine a/r.
the turbine A/R is what matters. get a T3 .85a/r for the turbine size.

Ok I was looking on Tony1 website and the S366 only shows a .70 A/R turbine then i go to tempestracing.com and they show a Divided T3 A/R .83 so that is where the confusion was sorry. i may actually go with the S372R on the tempestracing website looks like a nasty turbo and will fulfill all the HP i need.

I'm also torn between the t3 version and the t4 version of the regular s366. I don't really know what the difference would be. It seems like they both make around the same power with the same power band.

you haven't listed any goals or objectives for the use of the turbo, use that to help you decide.

Last power Made on my car was 550 on a precision turbo .63 A/R im looking to make upwards of about 700hp on the car but the thing is if i want to go bigger later i dont want to spend the money twice i understand the turbo lag on the street will be terrible but at the track is where it counts.

i prefer the T4 S366, however changing from a T3 to a T4 usually ends up being an expensive upgrade as most people will change the manifold to a different style and you will need a new DP and oil drain, etc. the T3 S366 works great if you know that 700 horsepower is as high as you want to go. keep in mind even at 700 horsepower, you are going to need to do a complete fuel set up.
our online store rarely works correctly. if you have any questions or want to place an order please contact us by phone.
the S372 is more turbo than anybody will ever need for a street car. the turbo makes over 900 horsepower. we have sold a ton of s372's and every one has had the race cover on it. easiest thing to do is to give us a call, tell us about your set up and your goals, and we can help you make your decision based off of that.

Thank You, Currently im running a 84.5 mm B20 block Arias flat top pistons Eagle Rods Skunk 2 pro 1's, Dual intank walbro system running through -8 feed and return lines. Custome T3 ramhorn Manifold Tial 44mm Wastegate Edlebrock Vioctor X manifold with Skuink 2 Throttle bodie. that is about it the tranny has a LSD and im running the stock Civic SI trans currently. using a S300 ECU. Msd Ignition system with External coil HVC blaster 2.
Question for you: does anyone sell custome T3 to T4 adapter for turbo to attach to the manifold if i decide to go bigger. i was thinking of just cutting off the olf T3 Flang and welding on the T4 not sure it will work?

Re: Borg Warner S366 or S366XL which is better
the race cover is much bigger than the standard cover tony1 has pics of both posted if you wanted to see them. look in his S327r vs GT4294r thread or skunk2 pro 1 cams thread.
and dont get an adaptor just switch manifolds or ask the company where you got it from if they will upgrade the mani for you, some companies do some dont. also you may want to switch to -10feed lines and -8an or -10an return lines.

Joe what do you like more about the t4? What size would you recommend for a 2.0 ls/vtec with pro1's and Jim Stewart head.
