Boosting stock gsr with 230k miles???
i wanna have a around a 250whp daily driver. i wanna if this can be done on the stock engine on 91 pump gas and a good tune. right now i have nothing done to the engine excapt for exhaust and intake, but people are telling me i can just bolt on a turbo and get a good tune and id be set???
im not sure this is my first car so please help and give me some advice and set-up ideas.

and if that fails should i replace the stock internals or whats need to be replaced or upgrade them.

250k is alot, depends on how it was driven, but usually dohc vtec motors get raped pretty hard throughout there lives. If oil pressure is good, leakdown is ok why not what do you have to loose 250k is alot so if it goes who cares thats excellent life out of that motor.

dude brah, you gotta live life 1/4 mile at a time. I roll with a b17, 35r, and a 250 shot to the face that pops mad 3rd gear V-Tech while rollin' to Poundtown with your fookin' ma, bro. 250k is nothing. Haters.

look at your financial situation and pretend that you had to rebuild and or replace the motor. If turbo charging it is still in the budget then go for it.
Regardless, the motor isn't going to last for ever.

I turboed my y8 at 260k. I'm at around 200 to to the wheels and I'm at 310k on the motor now with nothing done to it save for regular oil changes (every two thousand miles, non-syn oil) and head studs. It started smoking a little on startup so we pulled it and are building it. I think my motor is more the exception than the rule.
Everyone is right. The motor could still be in great shape but do those tests before you go turbo it so you aren't out a motor if something happens. Don't just jump into it.
If you have the money a rebuild would probably be well worth your time.
