Boosting with FMU's
I have a 99 Si with the Greddy turbo. I want to remove the FCU that controls the fuel management and use the typical FMU setup like most boosted vehicles. Tell me what you think about this combination.
1. Remove the 310cc injectors and re-install the stock 240cc injectors. (for smoother idle)
2. Install a Vortech 10:1 FMU or maybe a 12:1. not sure which one yet
3. Upgrade to a high volume fuel pump
4. Adjustable FPR
5. Missing link for map sensor
6. V-AFC for final tuning.
Do you think this will work to safely allow 7psi of boost? The Greddy FCU just doesn't work correctly(it has a surging effect when trying to hold a given RPM), therfore I want to find another method without going to a standalone.

Re: Boosting with FMU's (PressurizedSi)
I know you dont want to go stand alone but if you get an FMU you are going backards. I think the FCU is better than an FMU. Stick with it and then get stand alone later.
