boosting creeping up @ 7600 rpm??
Well, after fixing a couple of minor problems, I took my ride out for a rip. Everything felt good however i noticed that in 3rd gear at 7600rpm...my boost goes from7 1/2psi to 10 psi!! All my vacuum lines have been double checked ...does anyone know what could be causing this?
My setup:
-stock b16a1
-18g turbo(internally gated)
-greddy manifold
-3" downpipe c/w 3" exhuast
-turbo xs rofl bov
-hondata s200b
-skunk 2 intake manifold
-johnny racer intercooler
the car was running fine until i got my hondata chip re-burnt. I got them to lower my vtec engagement point by 200 rpm. Could this problem in any way be cuase by tuning? I realized my boost wasn't holding 8 psi anymore(it was tuned to that)...so I double checked all my intercooler clamps. After that...boost is holding at around 7.5psi...however its creeping up to 10psi @ higher rpm. This leads me to think that it has something to do with the acuator arm but i'm not certain....what do u guys think?

Your tune probably started making more power or the weather changed. Anything that could help you make more power could do it I suppose.
Just had the same problem on my ITR with Greddy internal wastegate, Profec B, intercooler, with stock downpipe, test pipe, and the stupid restrictor plate still on the intake pipe It boosted to 9 PSI at 5800 RPM and we stopped there.
Oh well, good luck, double check vacuum lines, try lengthening the arm on the wastegate actuator. Then get a Tial 38mm

I guess i might have to try a different vac source...thanks for the response...anyone else? the fucked up thing is that everything was running great until now...

Sorry man. Make less power or get an external wastegate like me.
Do you have the stock greddy restrictor plate on the intake pipe by the filter? Not the best solution, but it's the GReddy solution

Hey man, any luck with this?
My Tial 38mm wastegate fixed my boost creep (9 PSI at 5800 RPM doh!) along with the profec B spec 2.
Now if I could only take fuel out with the Emanage I'd be all set. Too rich. Time for Hondata
