Boosted B16 on Race circuit in the UK
http://www.roverturbo.com/neil...o.mpg
In-car vid from the session at a Castle Coombe Action day.
Only running about 6psi on a stock B16, I had finished the install the night before. Quite a long vid, but shows 5 laps or so. Really needed an LSD, and of course more boost.
Turbo is a Nissan Sunny T28 with a HKS manifold.
Unfortunatley i had a crash on the Motorway 10 days later and wrote the car off after my rear right tyre blew out. Had spent about 18 months building up this car, including the swap from a std D16a6 SOHC motor to a D16a8 DOHC (ZC) finally to the B16
Engine pic
Rover Coupe car it was fitted too
Hope you like it
Got the Teg now atleast

Re: (clean90Si)
The black car was a Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500, Rally car homologation car with a huge FMIC and 8 injectors as std. The Cossies are the old skool Evos/Scoobies

Re: (JonnyCoupe)
Here they are called Mercury XR4Ti or something like that with a single cam (Ford SVO) turbo motor. Too bad the US didn't get the Cosworth Motor.

that a cool vid. Is that an open track that you can run your street car at? I would kill to have something like that here.

Re: Boosted B16 on Race circuit in the UK (Bailhatch)
The hose was miles away, i was planning to build a shield for the manifold though anyway.
Yeah open track, just have to pay for a 5 lap session at that event and have a noise level below 100db at 4500rpm. We also have open pit track days where its about $180 for a whole day doing what you want. Can get thru a fair few sets of tyres
The car is a 1994 Rover Coupe, Rover is a UK manufacturer who has close ties with Honda in the early 1990's, Rover helped style and market for the european market while Rover took advantage of the D series engines and suspension platforms. The blue car next to the Teg is a Rover hatchback with a factory 2.0litre turbo engine (modded of course)
Only really will see Rovers in Europe, a few got exported to Malaysia and Japan but thats it. Same company who do the MG's too. MG-Rover group.

Re: (MidShipCivic)
Nice vid. 100+mb and clear.
I cant wait to go road racing. But I want some power under the hood before I go.
I had a friend with a b16 powered rover when I lived in japan. It was automatic but still a cool car.
I always wanted the valve cover off of it because it had rover's name on it.
