are you sure theres a srping in your WG?

Re: boost problems (laziebun)

yea i put it in myself, i even pulled the gate back off and made a new gasket for it, and tryed to open it by hand to see if the srping was good, and i couldnt open it, so .......

how do you know your not getting boost? guage?

stevo8889 Aug 13, 2008 07:54 PM

Re: (laziebun)

yea from the guage, it will go from 20 vac to 0psi thats it.

Re: (stevo8889)

Check all your connections making sure there isn't a loose one causing an enormous boost leak.

Re: (SD_Lurker)

i only reason i think the piping is ok is cuz it never even make it past 0psi, it just stay on the vac side of the guage by 0 and thats only if i open it up,

now im going to probley sound really stupid but ive only been doing this with it sittin in my drive way, i havent tryed drivin it yet.

your not going to build boost in your driveway, you need to put a load on it go drive and see whats up.

Re: (1fastlude1)

yup, turbos spool not only on rpm, but load, because with load come more fuel, and with more fuel means more/hotter exhaust, which is what spools the turbo

I saw you had a s200 ecu, but are you tuned? If not than dont go beating on it because you could blow your shit pretty easy..

This guy might blow it up anyway. I understand everyone is or was new to this stuff at some point, but how anyone gets this far into their project and doesnt know simple stuff like this is beyond me. Not wise to get that far into the project without becoming educated on at least some of the stuff.

Re: (EASY101)

Years back, around '01 when i got my first turbo setup I was boosting the car around 5psi without ANY fuel management. Not even a fpr!!! We're all noobs at some point https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif
