boost leak question
 

I would have done a search but it wouldnt work.....if my boost gauge shows 10psi and holds it, can I still have a boost leak somewhere?? I have a profec b and with the thing turned all the way up my turbo will only put out 10psi. I didnt think a T3 would max out that low, anyone know? Power also doesnt feel like it used to...does anyone know a way to test if my blowoff valve is leaking?? It's an old apexi bov that has the center part that twists so you can adjust the sound....thats the only place left that could be leaking boost.

Your boost gauge is going to read the pressure wherever it's tapped into. If there is 10 psi there then it's going to read 10psi. Yes you can have a boost leak but if your boost gauge it tapped into the intake manifold your engine is still getting 10psi of boost. Tap into the turbo your reading can be off
