i've installed 75 shots on my boosted civic, when i activate the nos the boost jumps from 13psi to 23 psi so car leans like hell. with 13 psi the runs perfectlly but i want to add more power and sence my injectors are 440cc i cant rais boost. What to do? how can i keep the boost @13 psi with 75 shots

You probably have an internal wastegate. Nitrous creates a ton more exhaust flow, and is probably too much to handle. Nothing you can do other than going to an external wastegate.

it is external wastgate HKS 40mm

Yeah nitrous makes pressure. before I went turbo I had installed my guages and stuff, and with a 75shot my boost guage would go to 4-6 psi with no turbo installed yet.
Ran a 35shot w/turbo@8psi and boost guage would hit 12-14psi, yeah man your putting pressure in there....

Re: (CiViC SiR)
Lower your nitrous shot to 50 and see what that does. If it doesn't spike change to a bigger wastegate if you want to run a 75 shot of nitrous.

How much power are you making with 440's, Nitrous is going to lean you out regardless, unless you got a wet system (injects nitrous along with fuel). You just need to tune for your 75 shot.

nitrous on forced induction vehicle usually almost doubles the power from a nitrous kit, i sprayed a 50 shot on my turbo honda and i got 90hp, i really think you chould lower the boot and spray amounts if you only have 440s cause you really dont need to spray quite that much

Turn down the boost and see what happens. Of course your going to get extra pressure when spraying nitrous. A boost gauge wont just read the pressure from turbo boost. A boost gauge will work the same with nitrous alone. Its just readint the manifold pressure. What exactly are you trying to do?? Why boost and spray, or is it just to help spool up the turbo? Id say sell the nitrous, get some larger inejctors and turn up the boost if you want more power. Unless its just to spool the turbo, than let off the nitrous a little quicker. You already have the external wastegate. Must be making some hella nice power, though, pretty sweet.

Re: (Boosted2K1Civic17")
is your motor built or are you boosting and spraying a stock block?
what are you using to monitor your a/f's?
try lowering the boost down to the stock w/g setting and spraying a 50 shot and just keep a good eye on the wideband if you have one. see if that helps. then try turning up the boost a pound or two at a time and just keep an eye on the a/f's until it is unsafe. or you could just take it and get it tuned with the nitrous if hte block is built and it can handle the 23lbs of boost it is seeing. however a lean situation with that much cylinder pressure will cause a whole lot of detonation and **** somethin up if you're not careful. g/l
