Boost got the best of me tonight: Dallas area sohc vtec motor WANTED
After only boosting for a day or 2 I blew my first honda motor 
. THe d15 beast thermostat stuck over heating the motor. I looked down and thought the temp gauge was my fuel gauge. I blew the hed gasket........then I said f*ck it and tried to crank up the boost and drive it home. I was in it hard third gear boost when I heard and felt pistons and rods hit my undercaraige. I got a rod through the block one hanging out of the pan............ANyone have in sohc vtec motors for cheap around the dallas area.

HOLY ****! we knew something was up. you never came back to sonic after the race. that sucks man.

yeah I guess i couldnt contain my self after upping the boost......I got a little wild and looked down and it was too late. Oh well hopefully Allen 
can hook me up with a d16.

yea thats what id do to, blow my head gasket and say "you know what, **** it i think ill blow my motor....."

Well those motors are a dime a dozen i got several laying around. Its more work maching adn slapping a head on it than to do a swap. Plus I wanted to upgrade to a z6 if the motor blew.

Yeah I should have waited till I got closer to home before I blew it up.....I had to get a tow from a buddy and my friend was the one steering my car cause I had oil all over me LOL from lifting the hood........but when my friend strarted twoing my car he had the colum looked on a main road and almost totaled my car.

Mine is still a rotating assembly though, just no more compression. I plan on using this block for sleeving...

i told u we should have turned the boost up to like 15lbs.......it would have be even funnier anyway it was still funny as **** pulling that rx-7 when it blew

It was only at like 8lbs when I sent it home. I found a now transplant a fresh d16 99 dx motor ready to get abused.

man did you ever get to see the race between scott and teezer? it was sick...
did you call honda heaven and ask them what the absolute cheapiest a d16 would go for?

Yeah I seen that race it was bad ***............allen wanted 5 bills for a d15 but I found several d16s for 125-175 range not sure what I want to do. I think I am going to sell all my crap and get the crx up and going again.
