boost creep t3/t67ho ramhorn
b16 84mm
gsr head
victorx
ramhorn with 2 ports mergeing into 1 48mm turbosmart gate
t3/t67ho .63 back
3in dp
2.25 dumptube venting to atm
will run up to 14psi <gate has 14 psi spring> by 5000 then will creep to 19 by 9800
had the 48mm on one elbow and would creep so we took another elbow and merged them into one 48mm gate
so now we have 2 1.5in ports in the collector to the gate and still creep
weve never have had this happen,
all the vac lines are are not leaking

Any pics on the inside? (Where the WG neck meets the collector)?
Combination of that and the length of the WG neck maybe..?

the pic makes the wg look like its super far but its really not bad, and now there is a 2nd port on the frontof the collector that merges into the orig one.

I bet its just blowing right by it, thats the problem with those manifolds. The air doesnt wanna stop and make a 90 degree turn. I'd like to see the new pic with them merging. Looks like the wg in the picture would take more from runners 1 and 2 based on the location.

problem is how the wastegate is mounted
1. bad angle to catch exhaust gas and gate is pretty far from main connection.

That is what it looks like now, altho crudely photochopped...
We added a second wastegate connection and boost is much more stable - reading around here and asking some people it seems the 67HO is just a creepy turbo... NLR, do you think the new routing is still not enough?

Re: (CarterRace.com)
Have you guys ever tried adding an "tear drop" angle to where the WG neck connects to the collector. I know this solved the prob for quite a few people..

We have a similar shape to that now - different becuase of the full core radiator and setup, but we have gotten control over it - seeing only 2psi of creep on the dyno and almost 0 on the street.

Re: (CarterRace.com)
if you added a second wastegate that means the 1 gate doesnt flow enough because your tied into the same pipe.
You would know if you just removed the gate all together and made a hit. If it crept then your connection is bad. If it doesnt that means your wastegate is the cause of the problem.
Most of the time I see bad angle as the lead cause of boost creep. Then to try and remedy they add a second gate.
Good luck,
seb
