Boost controller question...
 

This is a bit random but I was talking with my friend about how I'm going to be installing my manual boost controller. We started debating on whether or not having excessive length of vacuum line going to the boost controller would make any performance differences. (In my case about 6 feet of hose used in total length)

What is your guys opinion? Hypothetically if you had 10+ ft of hose running to the MBC would it make any performance difference?

Its not the length of the line, its the quality of the line (making sure it doesn't collapse under pressure) and the boost reference source for both lines to the MBC.

With that said, you want as short a distance as possible from your boost reference sources to where you want the controller. Going with a "longer" line doesn't do anything but clutter up the engine bay to allow it to get compromised with other items.

Keep it short, simple and sweet..

you have to remember that there's already air in the line, aol you're doing is pressurizing it, not physically moving air... so it compresses so fast that you won't really notice the difference in line length

just make sure it's quality hose (silicone is best), has a strong signal, and is a suitable diameter.
