Boost Contorller
 

Which boost controller should I go with??? I am planning on boosting up to about 24-26psi and I am not sure which boost contrller can handle that kind of boost with a small spring in the WG. I will be tooning it to about 7-9psi on the street and than have two more settings for 14-16psi and 24-26psi. What is a good contorller to go with.

I have also heard that Profec B is not that great and it only allows adjustment of up to 14psi is this ture???

profec b can go up to whatever you have actually it can handle any boost as long as your wg spring is set correctly.

If you have tial wg most controllers can only double the wg output..

The best bet if you want a nice controller that can do alot of different things get the innovative unit hte msbc-1 its around 599.95 or so but its gear based great for high boost applications.

Thanks for your reply. So what you are saying is that if I go with a 35mm Tial WG the boost controller will only allow me to up the PSI double the spring rate?? Therefore 9psi (.65) spring will only allow my boost controller to go to 18psi total boost???

What I am trying to do is do as simple setup as possible, but still do it correctly. I don't really like the flashy screes will all the different options that I will never use.

I second what b18bturbo said. I would also suggest taking a look at the Blitz Dual SBC Spec-R boost controller.

i know that the apexi avcr will allow to you have 3 or more boost settings. maybe take a look into that

someone correct me if i'm wrong but you dont want, say a 3lb spring and a bc to push it to 26psi..... it will either not work right or cause problems....

you want a wastegate spring closer to your minimum level of boost as possible..

if you run 10 daily... get a spring close to that and then boost it higher with the b/c....

anyone?


btw: I used the Blitz DSBC and it was good to 2bar.... easy to setup and use.

How is the Profec A? Anyone has any experience with it. I am about to get one for $200us is this a good price???

Thanks for the great replies. I orderd my Tial 35/40mm Hybrid WG yesterday with a 9psi spring so it should be fine for daily driving. Now I need to get a contorller. How is the profec A anyone any experience with them??? I can get a good deal on one, are they worth the money??? And if they are why were they discontinued???
