Boost of 3000GT, TD04 turbo
Anybody know the stock boost settings of a Mitsubishi 3000GT vr4? I just put a TD04 turbo on my g/f's Del Sol, and its only boosting @ 2psi. Ive quadroople checked all the charge lines for leaks, as well as any exhaust leaks before the turbo, and everything is perfect. Is there a way to adjust the internal wastegate to boost HIGHER? I know it will adjust to go lower, but I want to be around 5psi.

Oh ya....for some reason, i didnt think i could shorten it anymore, but now that i think about it, i lengthened it by about 5 turns, because i had to move the wastegate a little to make clearance...Thanx, I guess im just short minded...

Wow, I guess 3 turns did it, and then some. It boosted at around 9psi, and then started to spin the clutch. YIKES! I turned it down to 5psi and its perfect. Thanx for all the help.

They should be. If there is a 10mm nut where the wategate rod connects to the valve, then yes. Loosen the nut, and twist the connector whichever way you want to go. Shortening the overall rod length will increase boost, and lengthening the rod will decrease boost. Hope I helped.

for 91-93 stock VR4 or stealth (same) twin turbo. The stock turbo setting is 9psi and 94+ is around 12psi stock. If you have questions you can visit us at http://www.3si.org
