blown headgasket do i need a rebuild?
been tuned on vafc hack for a year now and a few weeks ago i blew a coolant hose and replaced it a high temp silicone hose , the radiator still seems to be leaking coolant everynow and then and it gets very hot, btw i had a friend drive my car and it was blowing what seemed to be white smoke when accelerating. ive thought ive had a problem with it for awhile and got 205 compression across the board. ANYWAYS
i was driving down a country road and shifted into third and boosted and after a few seconds i heard a pop sound ( which turned out to be the heater hose busting right near the intake manifold) and i smelled coolant.
so i pulled over and white smoke was just everywhere , coming out of exhuast, engine etc. i knew i blew something. i was just thinking of the turbo and wanted to let it cool down. after 30 seconds the car started idling bad, and then just shut off. i heard no detonation, no rods or any sort of damage occuring. so i got the car towed home and it will be worked on by the whip factory this saturday.
do you think a simple headgasket replace will fix it? what should i do? please no flaming . im not a NOOB
