the shaft play is about 1mm up or down ive researched and most legit h-t motor heads say there should be absolutly no play soooo i guess it gunna need some lathe work and ballancing aka full rebuild huuh? the play is very slight but it seems to be enough to smoke like a skinny tire fire... dam ehh im ima go blow some smoke to these diesel trucks that always bothered me ill be back..

If its a true GT35R and there is an issue w/ that cartridge, there is no repair. The compressor wheel, sure, but not the rest. you need to check which restrictor you used (should be .035" for a -3AN feed line), and what oil return you used (about a -8AN is appropriate), with no 90 degree AN fittings on the return line gravity feed to the pan. If you don't have this setup, you could have destroyed it in a way that can't be rebuilt.

Sounds like oil could have backed up in the return line. Pictures of the setup underneath with answers to the questions above will help w/ a diagnosis

ill get some pics up soon.thanks 4 the help. im using the obx restrictor .020'' and no i have no 90 deg on the return line and ive checked it several times it is a -8AN. im not the smartest when it comes to FI but i envy others that are knowledgable. the guy i bought off of acked scetched so it thats my fualt. but the a good possibility it was fine when i bought it so im obviously given him the bennifit of dout.it just stinks so theres no real hope for rebuild? it smokes all the time... mostly when its warm...
suggestions ?

.020" is a bit small.. Yikes. Suggestions..... Time for another unit. One that isn't ball-bearing, and doesn't require a restrictor. PM me for questions and/or suggestions
