Default Blowing smoke ONLY when I let off the gas then step back on

This happens in 4th and 5th, not so much in 3rd or 2nd. I will boost hard to lets say hypothetically around 6/7rpms then let off the throttle. When I step back on the gas I get a visible amount of whitish/blueish smoke out of the exhaust. This ONLY happens after hard pulls at full boost(8psi) in 4th or 5th. Does not happen during regular driving or even partial boost. No smoke at idle or any other time to the best of my knowledge. Not running a cat right now. My friend thinks it's either the fact that I'm not running a cat, or it's just fuel building up from when I let off then being burned up when I step back on. Any thoughts?

Blueish smoke is oil. Blackish is fuel. Whiteish is coolant.

I have the same situation with my car, it my oil seal on my compressor side of the
turbo is bad. When you at low rpm and not make boost then the oil will trap in the
intercooler like a catch can, but when you boost then the oil will get sucked along
with the forced air into your engine or you have blow by on the rings. Check your instercooler and charge pipes for oil residue then go from there. hope this help!

My car was doing that when my holset hx35 was going bad. Lots of oil in charge pipes and in the intercooler.

BTW, I'm pretty sure white smoke is oil. My car was smoking while quite a bit.

Oil will smoke white, depends on if it was burned in the combustion chamber or if it's just frying on exposed metal - inside your downpipe, for example. 95% of the oil burning my CRX has done manifested as pure white smoke, because of the three POS used turbos I've smacked on it all of them leaked through the turbine side.

As far as blue plumes on tip in after you boost + closed throttle for a second, I'm with Bimmertech. Compressor side leaking oil, I've experienced that too.

Ok. I checked my charge pipes and from compressor TO intercooler is clean as a whistle. There is some oil from Intercooler to Intake Manifold. However, the intercooler I have came off a car who's turbo and engine blew to ****, so there was a lot of oil in the intercooler when I bought it, maybe I didnt clean it good enough. I guess my question is if it were the turbo's seals wouldnt the compressor TO intercooler also have oil or oil deposits?
