blow off valve and wastegate

Could someone tell me the difference if there is any difference between a wastegate and a blow off valve.

BOV vents compressed air that would be going to your intake. This opens when the throttle plate is shut to prevent compressor surge.

WG vents exhaust gas around the turbine to prevent the turbo from spooling past a desired boost level.
