Block gaurd...I know, I did research opinions helpful
Ok, so here is the deal...I am getting a LS motor built at a local shop. They are gonna hone/bore it and do eagle rods and balance and blue print a eagle crank. I think that they said they are gonna use STR or SRT pistons...can't remember. Anyway, I would love to get it sleeved but it is an extra $1000 for a DART sleeve. He suggested that I use a block gaurd. Now i know that this topic is touchie and some people may be tired of hearing about it. I told him I was kind of iffy about it because I have heard lotsof things about block gaurds. He said that they are very usefull if they are machined in and professionally installed. I would like to know what you guys think....My HP goals are around 300-350, and I need this to last me for about 2 years because I am moving to Chicago for school...

Its simple there are only two options.Yes or no.Every reason for either of those two options has already been stated on this forum a zillion times.

are you sure you want to stick at that hp? Alot of people say I want 300-350 and then get bored with it why not spend the little extra money and do the block guard its a little extra reassurance that everything will hold together and if you ever want that extra hp your not gonna regret not doing it.
