Default Block drain plug for water feed on turbo..

Quick questions, will it be ok to tap the plug say, 1/4 npt or maybe slightly bigger to use with a -6 stainless line, and use a npt-an fitting.

second, i want to do the same for the return on the thermo housing. I've seen people tap the very last nipple, but what do i do with the coolant line that ran to it from the top rad hose waterneck.
